DIN EN 60601-2-51, section 51.103.1 "Calibration Voltage" demands: "A calibration voltage signal that corresponds to the conducted voltage with a rise time not greater than 5 ms and with an amplitude of 1 mV ± 0,01 mV must be available as a routine test to display the preset sensitivity on the record." The MS400 generates this calibration voltage for limb and chest leads. At the touch of a button, a square pulse of 1 second is output which guarantees the amplitude and rise time values of the standard.

The device to be tested is connected to the MS400 via ten electrode plugs (banana plugs). With pushbutton contacts, you can also connect patient cables with electrode clips. The pushbutton contacts are available as an accessory. The device is battery-powered. Since the pulse is just activated at the touch of the button for 1 second the electricity consumption is extremely low. |
